Services and activities
The “Café des aînés" model, inspired by an initiative launched in Dixville by Ms. Danielle Lamontagne, is now deployed in several municipalities in the MRC of Coaticook. Its objective is to strengthen ties between senior citizens.
Each Café des aînés has its own characteristics, as participants decide which activities they wish to have. There is no membership cost, it is a flexible structure allowing everyone to express themselves.
Café des aînés are not necessarily active all year round. It is therefore preferable to check if a coffee is going to take place before showing up.
For more information on seniors’ cafés, please contact the seniors’ social participation agent at the Volunteer Action Center: 819-849-7011, ext. 216.
