Services and activities

Eligibility for services is determined according to the organization’s intake capacity, compatibility, assessed needs and characteristics, group composition, and supervision capacity (number of workers and requirements of interventions). Users must be 5 years old or above. The services of Autisme Estrie are intended for children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related disorders, hyperactivity disorders or any other mental disorder diagnosed or being diagnosed that affects personal development or social integration. Services mainly include weekend and school time respite as well as a summer camp. As part of its activities, Autisme Estrie may also provide support services to the parents of these children.

Autisme Estrie works in partnership with local institutions and organizations to guide and orient its users and make helpful referrals.

Services are geared toward maintaining knowledge and skills, and are provided by competent staff, while upholding quality and physical and psychological safety standards for this type of clientele.

Autisme Estrie, a community organization based in Sherbrooke, provides services to people in Estrie with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related disorders that affect their social development or functioning (attention deficit, intellectual disability, hyperactivity, complex problems, etc.).
