Popote roulante / Centre d’action bénévole de la MRC de Coaticook

23, rue Cutting Coaticook, Québec J1A 2G2

Services and activities

The Popote roulante offers convalescents, new mothers, people with reduced mobility and seniors (50 years and above) the opportunity to buy healthy, balanced meals at low prices. The meals are prepared in collaboration with a nutritionist. For the sake of a varied diet, the menu rotates over eight weeks. Delivery is free and available daily for most of the region’s municipalities. Certain conditions apply for municipalities bordering the Coaticook MRC.

Information

Note that Waterville is served by the Lennoxville and District Community Aid Meals on Wheels, a Sherbrooke-based organization, and not by the Centre d’action bénévole de la MRC de Coaticook.

The Popote roulante meals are stored in Solpak containers. These containers have multiple advantages:

  • Spill-proof during delivery
  • Meals can be refrigerated or frozen
  • Meals can be stored longer (up to 10 days in the refrigerator)
  • The containers are microwave and conventional oven-safe The containers are compostable and can be recycled (except for the plastic film, which must be discarded)

Mission

The Centre d’action bénévole (CAB) provides a wide range of services to families, youths, seniors and people in need.

Each year, the CAB assists some 3,000 people, or nearly 16% of the population of the Coaticook RCM.
